asked who is my best friend, and why.

I didn't even need to think about this one, it's Jane – a beautiful, calm, funny and centered presence who also happens to be my wife and mother to our happy little family.

Over the past 18 years, we have shared many experiences, the vast majority of which are great – and some that have been painful. During my own trials, Jane has been the rock, forest, air and water to which I return when the road gets hardest.

In 'Do Sparrows Eat Butterflies?' I told a story of a man who comes to art through love. That novel is dedicated to Jane; she is the other half of my sky.
