This sin
and redemption
archetype

Force-fed
formulaic
character arcs

Get ’em up a tree
Throw rocks at ’em
Get ’em down again

If we paint
black
and white

Don’t we
come to expect
monochrome?

Don’t we
lose the joy
of yellow?

If all is learning
then what is
redemption?

Contrition?
Apology for the
lesson?

Anyway
Are we wired
to do wrong?

Or is it a choice
we make in
each moment?

Our choices
not black
not white

Not virtue
not sin
just choices

Endless
capacity
to learn

And say
“I made
a mistake”

“Sorry,
I was wrong
I’m still learning”
