EMPTY LESS MORE FULL
When it wasn’t
perfect
I may have hoped less
When it wasn’t
ideal
I may have hoped less
When the work
grew hard
I may have hoped less
When the road
petered out
I may have hoped less
When thorns tore
my passing skin
I may have hoped less
When others’
betrayal burned bitter bright
I may have hoped less
But I’ll let you in
My little secret
Though I may have hoped less
I never felt hopeless
As I built better
I grew more hope full
As I aspired
I grew more hope full
As I learned
I grew more hope full
As I explored
I grew more hope full
As I strengthened
I grew more hope full
As I welcomed others who
leant me their strength
cushioned my fall
let me lead them
I grew more hope full
Yes
we may be hopeless
Yet seldom hopeempty
When we are hope
We hopemore
and become hopeful
Look to the places
my friend
Where hope
refills
Partake of the filling
Despite those
profiteers
draining
each last little less
Until you buy
disaster protection
political doctrine
us and them toxins
Eleanor Rigby
They look to hopesell
By driving you hopeless
Hopemore
Costs nothing
Growing hopeful
grows hopemore
Hopefully
From @tanyacheerclemons prompt “Hopeless”
I love to write in a moment, and I love to write for you, so please leave me a prompt in the comments – a word, a sentence, an image – and I’ll write you a little something.
Also, sometimes, my writing helps someone I don’t know – I can’t predict or plan for that, and I’m humbled when I hear it’s happened – all I can do is ask you to share my writing, and increase the chances that it gets to the person who needs it.
Thank you for reading, as always!
Love-Peace-Trust
