Plinky.com asked me to describe a "Hah! I told you so" moment I'd had recently.
I sat and sat, wracking my brain for anything that counted – but all to nought, there was no recent moral or intellectual superiority I could identify, no example of where I had basked in outdoing someone else, no memory of prescient pride to draw from.
I'd always said that I'd be able to answer any and every plinky.com prompt.
But this one had me foxed.
Until I read what I'd just written and realized that I'd answered it after all.
"Hah!" I yelled at myself, "I told you so!"
