Dodging the bullet
by invoking the grave
If you don’t know the story
does the ghost even appear
If you’re not told it’s haunted
would you feel any fear
Cold fingers on the spine
a remnant
of our ancestors
alert for
prowling sabre-tooths
Words from beyond
our musing sub-conscious
All proof shows
the mystery
explained
So show me the proof
that I should believe
otherwise
