Words: Confused, confusing, confusion

By January 22, 2011Poems

I was staring into space
until it began to fill
with white noise
static
email terrorism
Held over
things to-do
Objectified contingencies
clamouring
for my screaming
brain
Not so subtle
manipulation
controlling me
in my day-to-day
Evenings
Weekends
stolen
from myself
my family
the world
The static swelled
and swelled
until I sat
confused
Confusing
Confusion
taking over the space
which I’d been viewing
Now soiled
destroyed
forsaken
I turned my head
just to the left
and stared into the space
I found there
finding calm
if only for one moment
