Words: Humming

By July 10, 2011Poems, Writing

A whirring
blur
incandescent green
Sipping
ambrosial divinity
my eyes
had never seen
My lips
want for tasting
Dipping
‘tween fronds
ferns
branches
Rainclouds
tourist back-packs
Such noise
for such a whispering
slight
Ancient sound
unity
time
space
and gravity
You escaped
Energized
the trees
I blinked
and you were gone

[From Gayle’s prompt: Hummingbird]
